Ok, are you looking for JUST computer based? I am due to give birth in 5 days and I plan to open a home-based daycare out of my home, to stay at home. It’s easy to do, just lots of time comsuming steps. It’s rewarding also, to enrich the lives of children.
If you are looking for only computer/internet based businesses, I wish you luck. I have only heard of scams.

There are very few work at home jobs that are not scams. Be very careful. I am a stay at home mom and it took me a very long time to find a good work at home job.

The work from home jobs that aren’t scams actually require work on your part - and if you’re in need of money soon then you’re likely to be sorely disappointed in any of those as well. Most of the legit opportunities out there take time to build - so if someone makes an outrageous claim of income it probably isn’t true ( and those that are true sure didn’t make that kind of money when they first began ).

Time & effort required - but do your own research on what is best for you, don’t take the advice of myself and others as gospel from this type of public website.

I have other ideas that may help - one of them is an online opportunity but another is one that will require a little effort to market yourself - try some data entry for local businesses, many of them don’t have the time to do it in-house and will gladly pay someone else to do it. Professionals are a good place to start, lawyers, doctors, chiropractors, etc - they need their “in-house” folks doing other things rather than busy work.

“If a company requires initial payment from you in order to work for them, they are not legitimate.”

There are a few legitimate data entry companies but are not hiring and have large waiting lists (1-2yrs). The majority of data entry jobs you seen online are scams. A real company will want you to have skills inc fast typing, may want you to know MS Excel, and will usually ask that you have high speed internet. Once in a long while you may found one online on a job website but thats rare.

If you do an advanced search on yahoo, you will find previous answers, sometimes the info on these is good as the info they gave is likely to have been verified if the answer was voted as ‘Best’.

has some good information on how to search recruitment websites for work at home positions.
