how do you get a free credit report? Safely?

can you do it online?

I know some might be scams…but are there any companies who have real legitimate freee credit reports with no strings attached?

    You could always pay a little more and go directly to the credit bureaus. They have websites.

    Experian, Transunion, and Equifax.

    Do NOT use freecreditreport.com as it signs you up for a service which charges you monthly. Use annualcreditreport.com instead.

    AnnualCreditReport.Com will take you to each of the three credit buroughs which will each in turn give you 1 free report per year. If you would like to see your credit score there will be a charge but the actual report is no charge and can be viewed instantly online or mailed.

    As a Yahoo! Canada participant, my ISP won’t allow me to access. The only ones I could find for Canada are from Equifax & Transunion.
