Most of those emails are coming from countries where they don’t care, mainly Nigeria.
unfortunately I do not think so. These people are in the wind and they all send their emails from remailers so you never really know where the messages are coming from. Best thing to do is never open the link, keep reporting them as spam, and hope thay Karma catches up with them soon.
The only thing you can really do is get a new email address and don’t give it out except to people you know.
Just hit the spam button. Theres hundreds of millions of those going out daily, and your report won’t make much difference.
Yes there is and my dear no matter how many times you do this, you will get another and another. Just don’t fall for this, I warned a friend about this scam and she ignore me. She answered it and gave them personal info on her. One day she went to do a task for these scammers and was arrested in the bank she conducts her banking business. She spent a nite in lock up, had to appear in court and pay for an attorney..and this problem is still on going.
I had also the same problem with a bunch of E-mails, the only solution would to create a new e-mail account and tell everyone you know that it has changed. I always have two E-mails, one for friends, family and business (credit card, bank info) and another one for the internet. That way my first E-mail isn’t cludered up with spam and the second is to surf with like the one I’m using now.
Yes. You can report them. The scam you received is well known and needs to reported to the US government if in the US. Here is a website providing links:
